Hey, I’m Becki, mum of two girls, teacher of many. Currently on maternity leave with my second, I’m keen to memorise every aspect of these new lives we’ve made.

Turns out the majority of parents, who actually give a damn, raise pretty decent children even without any prior information on how to raise children. This is because they seek advice but also that they follow their best instincts or gut feelings. I am a strong believer that you often do know best but doubt and uncertainty can get in the way. It definitely does for me. I’ve found that the second time round, I’m a calmer, more confident mum who has time to enjoy my baby. Hopefully, if anyone actually comes across this blog, it will help you trust your instincts and give give anecdotal insight as to what my first few years as a parent have been like.
